Sacramento Plastic Surgeons Co-Sponsoring Obesity Treatment Conference
Through Obesity Help, Dr. David Kaufman and Dr. Christa Clark have assisted in organizing a 2-day conference on August 23 - 24 to touch on key issues in the lives of people who are achieving dramatic weight loss in Sacramento.
Sacramento, California (August 8, 2008) - Women and men in Northern California who are considering significant weight loss or are on their way toward a weight reduction goal are encouraged to attend a conference on the issues and concerns that accompany massive weight loss. The conference, which is being held August 23 and 24 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West, has been organized in conjunction with Obesity Help, a national resource on obesity treatment options.
"I'm excited to be a part of this event," says Dr. David Kaufman, a conference co-sponsor and board-certified plastic surgeon who has helped dozens of women and men recontour their bodies through Sacramento cosmetic surgery procedures after significant weight loss. "For long-term success, a person who has lost a lot of weight needs the help of dedicated professionals, and needs to connect with peers for continuing support. This conference is the perfect opportunity to take the first step or to learn a little more if you are already on your way toward your weight loss goals."
Highlighting the fact that a successful weight loss plan requires careful consideration of many parts of a person's life, a wide variety of professionals will be presenting at the Sacramento conference. In addition to Dr. Kaufman, 3 other board-certified plastic surgeons will be on hand to discuss the special needs of post weight loss patients. Dr. Christa Clark practices along with Dr. Kaufman, while Dr. Eric Mariotti and Dr. Thomas McNemar operate their own Northern California practices.
Other speakers include Colleen Cook, President of Bariatric Support Centers International, bariatric chef Dave Fouts, relationship expert Kathleen Nickerson, PhD, and bariatric fitness expert Jeremy Gentles, CSCS.
"Our goal in co-sponsoring this event is to help people who are struggling with weight loss start the discussion about the options that are available to them," adds Dr. Clark. "I look forward to meeting with the men and women who register for the conference. In fact, many of the conference presenters will be offering free, private consultations during the event."
People interested in attending the Sacramento conference can purchase tickets through the Obesity Help Web site (http://www.obesityhelp.com/events/uzone) or by calling 1-866-957-4636.
